Singing in Cornish workshop by St Just Ordinalia

This three hour workshop is for anyone who is interested in singing in the Cornish language using the music from the St Just Ordinalia 2021. Singers of all experience levels are welcome – no sight reading required. No prior knowledge of the Cornish language is needed.

The workshop will be led by Vicky Abbott and Fiona O’Cleirigh; the respective Musical Director of the choir, and the Choral Translator for the St Just Ordinalia 2021.

The workshop will use call and response to develop and improve your skills and understanding of the Cornish language through group singing. The aim is to explore and enjoy Cornish in a creative and playful way, and hopefully inspire you to take part in or attend productions of St Just Ordinalia in the future.

Light refreshments will be provided.

Access There is step free access from the side entrance of the building and an accessible toilet. There are a few spaces directly on the forecourt of the building but we cannot guarantee these will be available - please let us know when booking and we will endeavour to support you. Parking The venue has no dedicated parking. It is a short walk of under 5 minutes from the free Lafrowda Car Park (TR19 7JA). For those who have limited mobility there is free on street parking on the roads around the venue. Parking in St Just can get busy at times. Please park considerately.
