About this event
Local author Bridget Crowley and sound designer Nigel Fairs discuss the process of turning a novel into a talking book, with particular reference to Bridget’s Penzance-set children’s novel, Wake Up Mr Kean, which is where their professional paths met. It offers some insight into how an author prepares to read their work in the studio – and what happens next. Bridget has an extensive background in the arts, including working as an audio-describer for the National Theatre, and has written four children’s books. Nigel is an actor and scriptwriter who has worked in film, television, radio and on stage.
