99p Films presents 'Coded Bias' in our social cinema style - Breathe - Watch - Discuss - Eat

As part of the CtrlAltDel_ summit and festival of Tech we’ll be wrapping up their event with a showing of the award-winning documentary film by Shalini Kantaya: Coded Bias (2020) in our signature social cinema style!

Coded Bias is an impactful and thought-provoking story of MIT researcher Joy Buolamwini, who discovered that facial recognition does not see dark-skinned faces accurately. Her exploration into the technology bias leads her on a journey to find out how else artificial intelligence can affect minorities.

But this isn’t just a traditional screening, our social cinema curation brings a revolutionary way to watch, with engaging discussions and communal feasts that transform the cinematic experience into a celebration of storytelling, fostering a sense of community among film enthusiasts🍿
