Femmes De La MerSongs From The Sea By Candlelight.

Femmes De La Mer, a 15-strong singing crew from across Cornwall, will appear at a special night at St Ia Church on Sunday, September 12, as part of the 2021 St Ives September Festival.

As special treat, the Parish Church will be lit by candlelight for this concert.
Led by musical director Claire Ingleheart, this all-female group sing traditional shanties alongside original material and some alternative takes on ballads of the sea with songs of love, loss and the feisty women of Cornwall.

Each individual member brings a unique sound to a group whose blend of acapella harmonies that has gained them recognition amongst sea shanty communities.
