A play exploring the impact of fast fashion.
‘Trendy Speedy Cool’ is the newest piece of work, written, directed and devised by Sostena Theatre. The play explores the social and environmental impact of the fast fashion industry by following the life-cycle of one item of clothing. From the factory it made in through to the people that wear it, ‘trendy speedy cool’ tries to paint a picture of the humans woven together through one garment, and the lives that they live.
Who is Sostena? Sostena Theatre is a student-led theatre company, based in Falmouth and Penryn. As young people who are passionate about our planet and its future, we choose to make work that engages with conversations of climate justice rather than shy’s away from it.
