About this event
Join us for an exciting conversation between artist Sovay Berriman (MESKLA), whose work is rooted in their experience of being Cornish, and Co-Directors from Dreadnought South West, who have backgrounds in theatre, education and activism.
The conversation will consider thoughts and ideas that preoccupy both; around bringing people together through arts and heritage projects, as a prompt to action and discussion; taking time, paying attention, and importantly considering capacity and care when working creatively.
This is a free event. Please visit our website for links on how to book.
Supported by Heritage Fund and made possible by Players of the National Lottery. Part of a week-long series of events at Kresen Kernow for the Rebellious Sounds Archive pop-up exhibition.
Dreadnought South West connects individuals, groups and communities through discovering and sharing previously unknown stories about the rich intersectional heritage of women, girls and non-binary people in the South West through their activism.
2023 sees Dreadnought celebrate its 10 year anniversary since their first project; Oxygen, that told the story of the Great 1913 Women’s Suffrage Pilgrimage from Land’s End to London.
