About this event
This session is introduced by Simon Parker. Simon’s book PZ77 is a study – initially as a book – of youth and music in late 1970s Penzance. By collating personal accounts from eighty-plus participants, the project examines how the experience of seeing major bands play live at the town’s Winter Gardens influenced a drive to make music, and how the lasting effect of the era shaped a large group of teenagers’ thinking: personally, politically, artistically.
Are you a storyteller, poet, fiction writer, comic or perhaps a musician? Well, this is where we want you! Come and experience some of Cornwall’s up-and-coming writing talent. Do you want your ears tickled? Then this is the place to satisfy the need. Have a good listen and discover what else is out there.
