Take a break from dating apps and endless swiping — and enjoy a fun, organised evening of mini dates where you can connect with people in real time!
The Old Ale House is a lively pub with friendly staff and a charming, traditional atmosphere — with sawdust on the floor and free monkey nuts. (Nut allergies beware 🥜)
💫 How It Works
Arrival:
Ticket holders to arrive between 6:00pm and 6:30pm.
We recommend grabbing a refreshing drink from the downstairs bar upon entry, then heading upstairs to our reserved area to:
• Sign in
• Meet the host
• Chat with fellow daters
The first bell rings at 6.45pm sharp to signal the start of speed dating — so be ready!
🛎 Speed Dating Format
• Ladies stay seated
• Gentlemen rotate when the bell rings
• 5 minutes per date
• Up to 14 mini-dates each
There will be short breaks throughout for Mingling, Bathroom breaks and Drink top-ups 🍻
As you meet each date, fill in your matchcard:
• Write their name and indicate whether you’d like to see them again
Before leaving, hand your completed matchcard to the host.
💌 After the Event
Match results will be emailed the following day, including phone numbers for mutual matches. Who makes the next move? That’s entirely up to you…
