About this event

A day exploring fire - how to prepare, create and use it as our ancesters would have.

The aim of these sessions are to support the connection between participants and the natural environment which is of huge benefit to mental health and wellbeing.

This session is all about exploring fire, in all its glory – how to prepare, create and use it as our ancestors would have. We’ll look at the history and importance of fire, methods of spark creation, tinder’s both man-made and natural before building applying what we’ve learned to make some tasty treats and cool crafts.

This group is for adults only and inclusive of all experience and abilities.

This will be running from our site near Redruth and there will be plenty of tea and coffee throughout the day and whilst lunch is not provided by us we would recommend that you use the fire to warm any food you bring to sustain you.
