About this event
Led by musical director Paul Drayton, St Austell Choral Society presents parts 2 & 3 of Handel’s Messiah in the beautiful St John’s Methodist Church.
Part 2, which includes the Hallelujah Chorus, focuses on the Passion and part 3 on Paul’s teaching about the Resurrection and Glorification of Christ in heaven.
Along with an instrumental ensemble, the choir will be joined by Anthony Trodd (organ), Elinor Chapman (soprano), Holly-Anna Hawkes (alto), Mark Hounslow (tenor) and Julian Rippon (bass).
St Austell Choral Society is continuing to enjoy a period of renewed growth and welcomes new members of all voices, although tenors and basses are especially precious!
Our concerts are always followed by a delicious finger buffet, included in the ticket price, giving audience members a chance to chat to the performers.
The church is next to the Priory car park, which is free from 7pm.
