About this event
The St Austell Festival of Children’s Literature returns for its third year on 13–14 June 2025, offering two exciting days of author events and activities for children aged 0–12.
Every ticket is just £1, ensuring the festival remains accessible to all families sharing the love of reading with everyone.
Led by educators, this brilliant festival continues to grow, bringing authors, illustrators, and poets into the heart of the Cornish community. This year’s incredible line-up includes S.F Said, Laura Ellen Anderson, Dr James Greenwood, Alex Falase-Koya, Sue Hendra, Anika Hussain and many more.
Friday’s Schools Day welcomes local pupils to engaging sessions with their favourite authors, while Saturday’s Family Day transforms St Austell into a lively literary hub full of readings, workshops, and storytelling across multiple venues.
The festival aims to empower children, strengthen families, and build a reading-focused community. Organisers are also undertaking research to explore the impact of festivals like this in encouraging reading for pleasure.
Supported by local councils, schools, and businesses, the festival is now a registered CIC and continues to unite educators and creatives to show that reading can truly change lives. Full details:
