The Market House Launch.

We are excited to reveal on the day, the fantastic new Market House Coffee Shop.

Event Programme:

Live Music
The building will be alive with music and song, our live music running order looks like this;

• 10.00 David Hayes, Classical guitarist
• 11.30 Stuns’ls, Sea shanty group
• 12.30 Gribben Bay Barbershop Quartet
• 13.30 Bagas Crowd, Cornish fiddle group
• 14.30 Barry’s Shed, Ukulele band

Craft Stalls
We’ve selected a whole range of exciting local makers and craft stalls selling their wares and creations including; gin, decoupage, photography and framing to name but a few.

Book Signings
Hosted by Austol Books. The line-up is as follows;

• 10.30am -11:00am Jayne Downing ‘Poetry from Par Bay’ – The book was created in 2020 as part of the Covid and Beyond Project with poetry from the local community.
• 11:00am – 11:30am Freda Najjemba ‘Poetry from Par Bay’
• From 11.30am Sid (Lyndon Allen) – ‘Time and Tide – The first new publication on Charlestown’s history for many years.
• From 1:00pm Zoe James for Marjie ”Where the Tide Goes’ by Marjie James – “This collection of poetry explores the journeys through the Cornish landscape, gardens, wildlife, environmental themes, beaches, personal reflections and moments of tranquil simplicity”.

Pop Up Art
We’re thrilled to be joining forces with Pop Up Art St Austell who are taking over the exhibition space on the 1st floor for the day and for a week leading up to event they will be exhibiting in the brand-new look pop up space in the front entrance of the building with a display by some of the Pop-Up Art – regular artists.

Our event is in conjunction with St Austell BID, White River Place, Holy Trinity Church.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank our tenants, visitors and partners for all their support and patience over the last couple of years and for following us on this journey.
