About this event
St Austell’s St Piran’s Day Event is a free community event for one and all to enjoy.
The event is being held in St Austell Town Centre on the 1st March 2025, 10 am till 3pm. The event will celebrate Cornwall’s Patron Saint Piran and all things Cornish.
• There will be a craft fair in Fore Street St Austell.
• Kernewek taster lessons in the old Peacocks store in Aylmer Square 10am till 1.30pm.
• Kres- will be in the White Hart Hotel on Church Street. Kres has a Cornish and Welsh theme this year. From 11am till 1pm there will be a series of talks in the morning followed by 2pm till 4pm there will be music.
• At 1.30pm in Aylmer Square, we will set off for a parade around St Austell headed by local musicians. Please bring your banner Piran and your singing voices as there will be a Trelawney Shout when we return to Aylmer square. (The parade will start gathering in Aylmer Square at 1pm).
• There will be speeches after the parade from invited speakers.
There will also be local musicians in Aylmer Square all day.

White River Place is wheelchair accessible, there are disabled toilets and there are disabled parking spaces nearby in the White River multi-story carpark and in Priory carpark. St Austell St Piran's Day Event is an inclusive event for all ages and abilities.
