A week of creative events and activities.
This will be the third year of hosting a festival to celebrate the Arts and Heritage in our town of St Columb Major. The festival is a week of creative events and activities inviting residents and visitors to get involved in the rich Arts and Heritage of our town. This will include an evening of music with The Coastal Belles and Boscastle Buoys, Fair and Square- an exhibition of 50 square canvases that have been painted, printed, collaged or creatively decorated by professional and amateur artists in St Columb Major. All entries will be entered into a Draw, where you will have the opportunity to win an original piece of artwork. Tickets for the draw will be on sale at the exhibition.
There will be a Scratchband Workshop and performance, for older children and young teenagers, run and inspired by the musician, guitarist and music producer Giles Wooley. ‘A Cornish Summer’- a themed competition and exhibition of photographs that have been taken by residents of St Columb, will be exhibited in an outdoor display, projected in the centre of the town, every night during the festival. There will be Art workshops & Demonstrations to get involved in and a Vintage Tea Party, hosted by Pink Peach Cake Company, with craft and vintage stalls and creative workshops.
