The 66th St Endellion Summer Music Festival features captivating performances by world-class musicians in the historic Church of St Endellion. Featuring powerful symphonic, choral and chamber music, comedic and dramatic opera, thought-provoking talks and visual arts – here we spotlight just some of our unmissable events.
Opera experiences, semi-staged and close-up, where the action takes place in and around the audience:
• Falstaff – Verdi’s masterpiece of comic opera directed by Bill Bankes-Jones and featuring a superb cast of international superstars – Mon 4th August, Wed 6th August and Fri 8th August.
• Dido & Aeneas – an intimate, candlelit performance of Purcell’s opera – a tale of star-crossed love – Thu 7th August
Magnificent symphonic works
• Vaughan Williams A Sea Symphony – chorus and orchestra in full sail on Thu 31st July and Sat 2nd August.
• Sibelius 3rd Symphony – distinctively Nordic themes and joyous finale – Thu 7th August
Family-friendly wonderland “Through the Woods” experience, a magical, musical ramble suitable for all ages – Sun 3rd August.
Spellbinding chamber concerts featuring both well-love classics and contemporary works.
