A talk about it's origins

Leading Cornish art historian David Tovey looks at the background to the formation of the St Ives Arts Club in 1890, its founder members and some of the important artists involved in its early years.

He will also discuss its importance in the development of the envied lifestyle of the colony.

David will also showcase and assess the importance of the archive recently donated to the Arts Club of the four Whitehouse sisters, who were early and long-serving members.
