About this event
The 2021 St Ives September Festival will host a charity night to raise funds for the St Ives Community Land Trust.
St Ives Entertains, organised by Dave Brotherton of musical duo Tir ha Tavas, will take place at The Guildhall on Friday, September 17.
Performers appearing are St Ives shanty singers Bamaluz Bootleggers, local musicians Katrina Geraghty and Sophie Andrews, representatives of Kidz R Us, award winning duo Dee & Dave Brotherton (Tir ha Tavas) and their guests, poet Bob Devereux and the St Ives Community Choir
St Ives Community Land Trust (CLT) is a non-profit organisation set up to promote and ensure democratic local ownership of land and buildings for the benefit of the community.
Projects include providing six affordable flats at the Old Vicarage – next door to The Guildhall.
Morag Robertson, chair of St Ives Community Land Trust, said: “Our members and supporters would like to thank Dave Brotherton for thinking of such a fabulous way to support our housing project at The Old Vicarage Flats, which is right next-door to the Guildhall.
“All the performers are giving their talents free to get behind affordable homes, which are so needed in the parish. We are looking forward to a grand night out!”
The show, compered by Tiffany Truscott of Radio Cornwall, is being sponsored by Harding Laity Estate Agents and supported by St Ives September Festival.
