About this event
Sterts Theatre. Keeping everyone safe and entertained
Summer, a perfect time to enjoy outdoor theatre and explore an exciting selection of entertainment.
Your health and safety are our top priority so, as you’d expect, we’ve introduced a few changes. Here’s our commitment to you:
We’re following the Covid-19 government safety advice for all guests, performers and volunteers to achieve the highest standards. We will monitor guidelines after each performance.
We will have new operating procedures, cleaning schedules and one-way systems to help manage social distancing. We have moved all of the facilities from the buildings so that everything takes place around the theatre.
We’ve put in processes, installed barriers and closed some seating to provide safe separations in areas that need it. You’ll see some staff wearing personal protective equipment so they can work safely.
We will be contactless as far as possible, with simple takeaway food and drink offers for you to enjoy.
We’ve limited audience numbers and introduced paperless ticketing so that social distancing can be maintained with confidence. Most shows will last around an hour without an interval. We aim to have tickets on sale by the end of June.
Thank you for your support and patience over these last few months. We’ll be following government guidelines very closely and will keep you updated on our further plans, including the eventual reopening of the theatre, which we are aiming to do by mid July.
We’re delighted that we will soon be able to share Sterts with you again.
