Cornish Secret Stories Project (Storylines) Tea Party

Do you love stories and cake? Then come and tell us your favourite Cornish stories, myths and legends – true or otherwise!

Jenny Beare, Bec Applebee and Shazz Andrew are the story gatherers and would love to hear your Cornish tales as they begin a project to create a legacy of our collective community storytelling heritage, from which they’ll create an archive of Cornish Folklore, a new play and a digital map to keep these stories alive.

They would like to collect, preserve and promote Cornish stories. Hearing voices that talk of stories new and old.

Join them at a free tea party at Kresen Kernow, to learn more about the project and tell them your stories. Everyone is welcome!

This project is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. Cornwall Council has been chosen by Government as a Lead Authority for the fund and is responsible for monitoring the progress of projects funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Accessibility

Details

Kresen Kernow is fully wheelchair and pushchair accessible, with lifts to all levels and automatic main entrance doors. Accessible toilets are available on both floors, with a fully-equipped Changing Places toilet also available on the ground floor. Separate baby changing facilities are also available on the ground floor. If you are arriving by vehicle, there are six accessible parking spaces at the Tesco side of the building and a level entrance into the building. If you are arriving on foot or wheels, from Redruth town centre, the closest entrance is at the end of the public path which runs through the old brewery site, from Chapel Street to Kresen Kernow.
