Join author and storyteller Alasdair Hoswell for ‘Tales from the Tractor’ – a storytelling adventure through farming in Cornwall – on Saturday 31 May, 10am-12pm!
Step into a magical world where the summer sun wakes the land and ancient farming stories come to life.
Storyteller Alasdair Hoswell (‘Farmer Ali’) brings his whimsical guide, Cornish Callum, and Mud-Puddle the pig! Join them as they journey through the fields, hedgerows and farmyards of Cornwall’s past, meeting farm animals, mythical creatures, learning old traditions and discovering how people worked the land in days gone by, through play, song and stories!
Dressing up is encouraged, think farmers, farm animals and scarecrows. Be as creative as you want!
As well interactive storytelling there’ll be movement and imaginative play, songs and games all with a farmyard theme and learning stations.
Children can explore through creative and hands-on activities, plus arts and crafts.
This activity is perfect for families and primary school-aged children, there’s no need to book, just drop-in!

Details
Kresen Kernow is fully wheelchair and pushchair accessible, with lifts to all levels and automatic main entrance doors. Accessible toilets are available on both floors, with a fully-equipped Changing Places toilet also available on the ground floor. Separate baby changing facilities are also available on the ground floor. If you are arriving by vehicle, there are six accessible parking spaces at the Tesco side of the building and a level entrance into the building. If you are arriving on foot or wheels, from Redruth town centre, the closest entrance is at the end of the public path which runs through the old brewery site, from Chapel Street to Kresen Kernow.
