A 24-hour outdoor drawing event & exhibition in Falmouth raising funds for Cornwall’s homeless
StreetDraw24 is back for its third year!
Join us drawing outdoors from the streets of Falmouth between noon Friday 2nd and noon Saturday 3rd of October. Draw for as short or as long as you like. Draw whatever you like. Draw however you like. Everyone is welcome. Participation is free. All drawers will be eligible to take part in an exhibition running in partnership with The Poly Falmouth from 8th-10th and 15th-17th of October where original drawings, StreetDraw24 tote bags and other items will be sold to help us raise funds for St Petroc’s work with Cornwall’s street homeless.
This year we will be exploring the plight of those people who were homeless but have been re-homed during lockdown but may now face going back to the streets as life goes back to (the new) normal. We will also be once again looking at what art and creativity can do to help us all through difficult times.
Covid-19 mean the event is ‘unplugged’ and pared down to fit the latest rules – with webcam and videoed options for those shielding, self-isolating or in quarantine. We go ahead whatever the weather with some people choosing to draw for the whole 24-hours including throughout the night so come prepared for whatever Cornwall’s wonderfully changeable and unpredictable climate!
