A free and open to all drawing event and exhibition in Falmouth to raise funds for St Petrocs.
**This is an OUTDOOR event which is taking place all over Falmouth**
StreetDraw24 is an annual drawing event and exhibition held in Falmouth which raises funds for St Petrocs’ work with people facing homelessness in Cornwall.
This will be the fourth year where people who love drawing – artists, students, enthusiasts, amateurs – get out and about in the town during a 24-hour period and make images of whatever they choose however they choose. Some people draw for 24 hours others take part briefly. Some draw alone, others in groups. Some create one image, others many!
This year the StreetDraw24 team want to encourage individuals and groups who might like to take part but are not sure where to start to join in even if you’ve never drawn before! Thanks to FEAST and Cornwall Community Foundation a small pot of funding is available to support this so please get in touch if you or your community or interest group want to know more.
There’s no cost to participate and everyone is welcome. Simply sign up on Facebook or email [email protected] to find out more or pop into the Poly to collect a leaflet. Participation packs will be available from the Poly the week of the draw.
Everyone who participates will be invited to donate images created during the draw to show at The Poly and to sell to raise funds for St Petrocs – last year StreetDraw24 raised £4,500 to support their important work.
This year’s exhibition will take place 19 – 23 October at The Poly and is entitled “This Town?” It will invite us all to question where in our town we would go if we had to spend 24 hours outside with nowhere else to go and encourages us to look differently at a place we know and love with fresh eyes.
