StreetDraw24 Redruth

A 24-hour community drawing event on the streets of Redruth, free and open to all!

StreetDraw24 is an everyone-is-welcome and free-to-take-part community drawing event happening for the first time this year from the streets of Redruth. The draw lasts for 24-hours but you can take part for as long or as a short a time as you like and taking part is easy…

1. Find some materials to make images with – these can be anything from a biro and back of an envelope to colouring pencils to collage materials to… you get the idea!
2. Pick up a participation pack from one of our exhibition partners – The Art Room Redruth or Stones Cafe Krowji, from Wednesday 20th July.
3. Check out our website to join on of our Group Draws or do your own thing, alone or with friends.
4. Draw what you see and see what you draw – you never see somewhere the same way again once you’ve tried to draw it.
5. Donate all or some of your drawings to us to take part in our exhibition in Redruth in August – these can be handed in at Kresen Kernow on Saturday 23rd July 09:30-4pm.
6. Feel good because by doing this you’re help us to help St Petrocs who help people facing homelessness here in Cornwall – we sell all the work to raise funds for them.

If you can draw, used to draw but haven’t for ages or if you think you can’t draw but would love to have a go this is for you! Our Falmouth StreetDraws attract drawers of all ages (our youngest so far is 2 and our oldest 86), all abilities (well known local artists to amateurs to beginners) and all interests (you’d be amazed at the different things people find to draw in the same place!).
