About this event
Tarosvan is the Cornish language word for ghost or phantom.
Tarosvan – The Cornish Festival of Ghost Stories takes place in Cornwall’s ancient capital, Launceston, twice a year.
Launceston is often referred to as The Haunted Capital of Cornwall, and for very good reason, as we boast Cornwall’s most famous ghost story, most haunted house, most haunted hotel, most haunted castle and most haunted churchyard. Walking through the beautiful and historic town centre, one can barely pass an old building without there being a ghost story attached.
Held each March and November, the Southwest’s only festival of this kind involves a host of activities and events, including ghost hunts, ghost walks, paranormal investigations, author events, book launches, ghost stories told in haunted pubs by knowledgeable local experts, writing workshops and much much more.
Various venues throughout town, various events, various prices, some events are free.
