Part of the ‘Inspired Starting Points for Your Novel’ series
A regular tutor for the Arvon Foundation and founder of the Gold Dust mentoring scheme, in this LitFest workshop, author Jill Dawson will be using tarot to help prompt, deepen and explore your writing. Suitable for writers from beginners to published and those who know a little or a lot about tarot, Jill will explore ways to use the cards to help with character, storyline, deepening themes and awareness, and keeping going when you’re stuck. Bring your own deck if you have one. Come with an open mind. You will work with ideas of chance, randomness, fate and agency, both for your characters and yourself as a writer
Tarot plays a central role in Jill’s latest novel, Pixie, so don’t miss this afternoon’s session at 3pm in the Acorn when she will be talking to Rachel Viney about the inspiration behind this fascinating story
Concessions strictly for: under-18s, full-time students, those in receipt of working-age benefits or Pension Credit
