About this event
Come to beautiful St Ives, home to the Tate Gallery and having a rich artistic history with artists such as Barbara Hepworth, Patrick Heron and Peter Lanyon having lived and worked here.
During the two days Jo will guide through silk painting, batik, and Tie-dye techniques.as well as how to dye silk velvet using a Japanese Shibori technique called Arashi.
No experience is necessary as Jo will provide information and demonstrations for all the subjects and all materials will be provided.
At the end of the two days, you will go home with a silk painting, batik picture, tie dyed fabric and some sumptuous silk velvet dyed ready to be made into a scarf at home. You will also have handouts for all the techniques should you wish to do more in the future.
Contact Jo McIntosh for more information and to book – a £90 non-refundable deposit is payable on booking with the balance payable by 22nd April.
