The 39 Steps, espionage and comedy based on the book by John Buchan and the film by Alfred Hitchcock

Did you know, that tucked away in Biscombes Lane, Callington there is an intimate and friendly theatre.

What’s more coming soon, the opening night is on 27th February, you will be able to enjoy a night of espionage and comedy, following the exploits of Richard Hannay in his attempts to discover the secret of The 39 Steps.

This comic version of John Buchan’s original spy story, enjoyed a 9 year run in the West End of London still remaining the 5th longest running play in West End History.

You too can now enjoy the latest version produced by Tamar Arts and Drama Association CIO.

Details

Disability Health and Safety We welcome visitors with mobility issues to the theatre. • Our front doors and all fire doors are double opening with low thresholds (please note that only the front doors are suitable for a fire exit if a wheelchair is used). • We have a stairlift for visitors use. • If you require this facility, please note that our insurance does not allow us to assist you getting in or out of the stairlift. You must make sure that one of your group assists you or, if you are own your own, you must be able to transfer in and out using your own upper body strength. • We have a seating area at the front of the auditorium where a wheelchair or walker can be positioned. These must be foldable and not pose a risk to those using the stairlift. • In the event of a fire we ask if you have mobility issues, that you please wait for the auditorium to be cleared and then the designated fire warden will assist you safely from the theatre.
