A brand new, accessible show called Gulp!, which will engage family audiences in the stories – and challenges – of water in an interactive, positive way.
Building on the huge success of our 2017-18 tour, Where’s My Igloo Gone? The Bone Ensemble has created a brand new, accessible show called Gulp!, which will engage family audiences in the stories – and challenges – of water in an interactive, positive way.
Maya LOVES water! Swimming in the sea, splashing in her paddling pool, squirting her sister with a water pistol… But, one summer day, she gets sucked up the bathroom tap – SQUOOSH! – and along the water pipes! WHOOAAHHHH!
Maya goes on an exciting journey, whooshing through oceans, plunging into rivers and floating in clouds, encountering a flood, a drought and fascinating people and creatures.
Onstage, there’s a paddling pool full of water, a water pistol fight (don’t get squirted!) and the mesmerizing sounds of an aquaphone, African mbira and hammered dulcimer. Plus a loop station for us all to make watery sound effects and beatboxing rhythms – all created live during the show!
Gulp! is an interactive story for all the family dripping with fun!
