About this event
The Cornish band Kewbanda will take you on a musical journey, with songs that tell the stories of incredible Cornish people who went out to the Caribbean in the days of exploration and settlement. There are tales of marooning, gold and copper mining, dangerous voyages, slavery resistance, romance, camels, yellow fever and more. There will also be Q&A with Sue Appleby, author of the book “The Cornish in the Caribbean, from the 17th to 19th Centuries.”
