The Cornwall Reading Challenge - Extraordinary Explorers. Free fun for children of all ages.

This is your sign to get VERY excited about the summer!

This July, we invite children of all ages to set off on an extraordinary exploration at their local library. Libraries across Cornwall are launching The Cornwall Reading Challenge 2026: Extraordinary Explorers.

The challenge is all about exploring what children love. If they love it, we want them to read about it. From art and sport to gaming nature, science and more. Every book can lead to a new discovery.

There are two free challenges to choose from:
👉 The Reading Quest for children who can enjoy 6 books
👉 The One and All Challenge, a fully inclusive option. It is designed so every child can take part and succeed, whatever their ability or individual needs.
Children will receive a free swim voucher when they sign up, plus stickers and rewards as they progress through the challenge.
When they complete their challenge, they will receive:
⭐ A medal
⭐ A certificate
⭐ A free treasure trail worth £10.99

The adventure begins Saturday 11 July and runs until Saturday 12 September. Children can sign up at their local library.

So gather your explorers, dust off your library card (or sign up for one for free) and get ready for a summer full of reading, discovery and rewards. This summer is going to be EXTRA-ordinary!
