Penzance Litfest presents a crime-writing workshop with Karen Taylor.

Karen Taylor’s latest novel, Fairest Creatures, was longlisted for the 2020 Crime Writers’ Association Debut Dagger. Let her help you take the mystery out of crime fiction. Gain insights into the many different sub-genres, such as cosy crime, hard-boiled noir and psychological thrillers. Study the structure and winning formulas expounded by such greats as Patricia Highsmith and Stephen King. And enjoy the chance to try your hand at crime writing exercises with the emphasis on discovering and developing the tools to, maybe, write that thriller.
