About this event
A seasonal festival with dynamic performances from Morris Dancers, Musicians…..centred around the all important meeting of the Welsh Mari Lwyds with our Cornish Oss, Penkevyll. It marks the end of Summer and the beginning of Winter.
This year is the 10th Anniversary of The Dark Gathering and will be a very special event. There will be an ‘invasion’ by The Cornish Vikings……music from Raffidy Dumitz and Pendans…….dancing from Blackpowder Morris and Cutlers Gate…….a parade through Tintagel…….Ancestor Blessing and Chant…….and an amazing Day of the Dead performance by our Mexican friends, Takam. At the end of the evening we will be expecting all performers to join in a Newlyn Reel!
This is a wonderful event that you just won’t want to miss!
