The Devil’s Hatband first played for us 6 years ago, it was a wild and windy night but the show went on, in our cosy cafe. They’ve played several times since and it’s always a real treat. They are a fantastic band, rain or shine, day or night, don’t miss them.

The Devil’s Hatband play a rich variety of hillbilly mountain music, gospel, old time show tunes, gentle folk, juggaband blues and songs of work and protest.

Banjo, teachers bass, washboard, kazoo, ukulele, fiddle and saw, played to a near virtuoso standard, accompany a heavy chorus.

The act are always impeccably turned out and their show is morally good…if the good lord is willing and the creek don’t rise…
