About this event

A large orchestra of Strings Woodwind and Brass will shoehorn themselves into Gerrans Memorial Hall on Friday 18th November, under the direction of the conductor and musicologist Russell Blacker.

The programme features the astonishing virtuosic Brook Violin Concerto and a Hook Piano Concerto as well as numbers from Shield’s pastoral – comic opera ‘Rosina’. The performers consist of 6 strings, 7 wind and brass instruments, plus two singer-soloists: Cheryl Brendish and Will Charnley.
