About this event

When it was first built in 1789, Grove Hill (now Grove Hill House), was the most spectacular Georgian mansion in Falmouth.

From its extensive grounds, it enjoyed panoramic views of the harbour and sea. But what was it like living in such a large house? And what made it a happy home for the families who lived there? Mike Jenks traces the origins of the Grove Hill estate, house, and gardens, intertwined with insights into the members of the Fox family who built it and lived there for around 150 years.
