Boost confidence and self-knowledge with clowning.
If you feel that you go through life second guessing yourself, if you’re frightened about ‘getting it wrong’, struggling to step into your authentic self, then this is the place to be.
We all have a fool in us – a clown we can learn from and play with. Sometimes our clowns help protect us, sometimes they mask our authentic selves. We will be exploring this aspect of ourselves using a mix of clowning and tantric techniques, setting aside our inner tyrant and welcoming our spontaneous and playful selves.
Kate Spenceley and Annabel Newfield have studied the role of the clown in our lives and during the course of this powerful workshop, they will help you learn how to reveal more of your authentic self, say a wholehearted YES! to life and face fears or uncertainties with renewed vigour.
Tantra helps to strip us bare of our masks, the pretensions and veneers we present to the outside world, to build a stronger, more authentic self from within. Clowning includes playing with the masks we wear and examining the outer selves we portray to the world.
In this workshop we will combine aspects from both to enhance your own self-knowledge. You will learn to stop fearing failure, to have more confidence in yourself and to recognise your own fool, whilst having enormous fun in a safely held space.
Our venue is the beautiful Rosemerryn Wood, set in wonderful gardens, and only a few minutes drive to Lamorna Cove – one of the most beautiful beaches in Cornwall.
