Two magical days of author talks, workshops, concerts and exhibitions at this intimate festival.
Celebrating its seventh year, this year the festival boasts A-list novelists including David Nicholls, John Boyne, Tessa Hadley, Deborah Moggach. Enjoy memoir and autobiography from Barbara Hosking and Everything But The Girl’s Tracey Thorn as well as The Salt Path’s Raynor Winn and Sophie Ratcliffe on the love and loss; poetry from Imtiaz Dharker and Zaffar Kunial; military history from Damien Lewis; sport writing from extreme runner Adharanand Finn. Our young people’s writers this year are the one and only Michael Morpurgo and the hilariously entertaining Philip Reeve. Come and be entertained and moved by this international line-up of authors giving talks, performances, interviews, or in conversation with the likes of Patrick Gale and Petroc Trelawney. Workshops include writing plays and writing for children. We celebrate Cornish heritage with a Cornish language workshop and our signature Cream of Cornish event for writers with Cornish links. In between events, you can enjoy exhibitions, café, bar, bookshop, street music, and two amazing evening shows.
The weekend is preceded by two days dedicated exclusively to schools and young people. And don’t miss our Book Festival taster event in Delabole (see Endelienta listings).
