About this event

Helston Theatre Company's outdoor production, in the perfect setting of Helston Railway, transports you to a bygone era, where steam engines puff through the countryside and childhood innocence thrives amid adversity. With a blend of humour, suspense, and touching moments.

Immerse yourself into the Edwardian setting, with a steam train ride at Helston Railway from Prospidnick to Truthall Halt. Then venture into the nearby event field (marquee) to watch Mike Kenny’s play version of Edith Nesbit’s beloved novel – The Railway Children. Popularised by the 1970 film starring Jenny Agutter, this theatrical experience is one for all the family.
