About this event
The SAS Ball, run by Surfers Against Sewage, began back in the 90s as a celebration of activism, community and the sea, and quickly became one of Cornwall’s most talked-about events. Three decades later, the ball is back for the first time since 2006, with organisers and party-goers ready to revel in 35 years of activism, community and protecting our blue spaces.
Spread across three stages, with production by Skybar Events, the event will have a festival feel. Expect a lineup of live music from local and international artists, DJs, inspiring speakers and activities, alongside food and drink. The event is family-friendly and open to all ages
The lineup, brought by SW1 Productions, features Dreadzone, famous for their fusion of dub, reggae and electronica, along with A Blaze of Feather, led by Cornwall’s Mickey Smith, will bring their dreamy cinematic rock to the main stage. The line up also features:
Abbie Piper – soulful vocals from one of Cornwall’s rising stars
The Oggymen – Cornwall’s favourite sea shanty crew
Fletchr Fletchr – infectious indie rock band known for high-energy performances
All proceeds will go towards Surfers Against Sewage’s ongoing campaigns and environmental initiatives. By attending, you are helping to drive positive change for our seas, rivers and lakes. Surfers Against Sewage is a grassroots environmental charity based in St Agnes, Cornwall, dedicated to the protection of the ocean, waves, beaches and wildlife. It was created in 1990 by a group of Cornish surfers from the villages of St Agnes and Porthtowan on the north coast of Cornwall.
