The Textile Industry In St Ives and West Cornwall

Social historian Janet Axten gives a brief illustrated overview of the history of textiles in West Cornwall over the past 400 years, and identifies the way St Ives and the surrounding area fitted into the overall narrative.

The talk includes a look at the effects the Crysede silk company had on the region.
