About this event
Discover the wonderful World of Whales as illustrator Becky Thorns joins National Maritime Museum Cornwall on World Whale Day, on Sunday 16 February, 11am – 4pm, to celebrate the launch of her new book.
Make and Take-over
This special Make and Take will be taken over by local illustrator Becky Thorns. Take part in a group collage inspired by Becky’s new book, The World of Whales. You’ll be using recycled plastic to create a whale collage of one of Becky’s whale illustrations which will be displayed in the Museum. You’re welcome to bring along your own materials including scrap paper and cardboard packaging.
Trail
There’s a stream of bubbles loose in the Museum, but can you find them all? Complete the trail to claim your prize.
The World of Whales
The World of Whales is a beautifully illustrated book which explores habits and characteristics of the giant sea creatures. Pick up your copy in the Museum shop and meet the artist to get your copy signed.
It’s free!
The World of Whales activities are FREE as part of National Maritime Museum Cornwall’s annual admission fee. Pay once and get in free for a year.
