About this event
Tim’s story of adventure, discovery, romance and restoration has inspired a nation of garden lovers for many years and has captured the imagination of Heligan visitors and our Team alike. With The Garden and Estate now near full restoration, Tim looks to now tell the story of Heligan’s future and the importance of its place within the local and wider community.
Join Tim for one of these exclusive tours to hear all about the original discovery of The Lost Gardens of Heligan, the tales of the restoration and his ambition for Heligan for the next 30 years. With opportunity to ask your questions and to experience The Lost Gardens in this very personal way, this is a tour not to be missed whether you have never visited before, or you visit us every week!
There will be one tour held in each season to enable each tour to be individual and to highlight the large variety of trees, heritage fruits and vegetables and foliage that change with the turn of each season. The tour will explore the working year of The Gardens and showcase the exceptional skills required from the Heligan team to enable The Gardens to grow, diversify and provide.
The tour will focus on the Northern Garden and the Kitchen Garden along with Home Farm, and on these occasions will not travel to the Jungle or to the Heligan Estate. We advise that to completely enjoy this experience, please come dressed for the Cornish weather and wear sturdy footwear.
This date will co-inside with the anniversary of the discovery of The Lost Gardens of Heligan by Tim and John Willis on 16th February.
It is half term and The Gardens will also be host to Heligan’s ‘Love Nature’ event.
Tickets can be purchased by calling Heligan Reception on 01726 845100.
£30 per person and £15 for Heligan members, in addition to garden entry (unless membership or locals passes are held), to include the full Garden tour. Children welcome at the same ticket price value.
All tour proceeds to go towards supporting our Garden apprentices.
