About this event
BASTARD. DRUNK. ACTOR. GENIUS. In 1814 Edmund Kean stepped on stage at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane and changed British theatre forever. He was a grieving, drunken, megalomaniac. He was poetry in motion. Described by Alan Ayckbourn as ‘a tour-de-force’, and by Steven Berkoff as ‘a must’, The Tragedian Trilogy has filled theatres in 10 countries over two decades… but has never been filmed. Prodigal are remounting the trilogy to document it on the occasion of its 21st birthday, and you’re invited.
