About this event
Please note Trebah’s summer 2020 events have been postponed.
Trelva (Cornish: Turing Point, Place of Change) create atmospheric sounds, dashing dance music and improvisations. The celtic music is the base for new approaches and complex arrangements. Claudia Hoffmann and Babett Niclas play tunes from Cornwall, Scotland and Ireland on fiddle and harp.
Babett Niclas is one of the few harpists in Germany who learned the “Clarsach” playing professionally on the spot, i.e. in Scotland and Ireland. Claudia Hoffmann lived in Cornwall for a long time after her studies of Early Music and was able to pursue her passion for Cornish Folk in sessions.
Both together create an atmosphere in which no foot can stand still. At the same moment you will find yourself daydreaming and revelling.
This performance takes place on the terrace outside the house.
Wild Food Kitchen will be serving a selection of hot meals (vegetarian and vegan options available) from 1 hour before the performance start time. This will be “pop-up food van” style and does not need to be pre-booked.
