About this event
Taking place on Sunday 25th June from 1pm – 5pm, this is a fantastic event for all the family, with cream teas, garden tours, and a fun-filled trail for little ones.
Visit Trenarth to enjoy a wonderful day out and support the work of Cornwall Heritage Trust, the independent charity whose mission is to protect Cornwall’s unique places, landscapes, traditions and communities.
Trenarth Farmhouse is a good example of a house expanding over the years. The oldest part is from the 16th century to the newest, 2001. Like the house, the garden has grown over the years and now sits in 4 acres. Here you will have plants that will intrigue you, views that take your breath away, and the odd odderty to make you smile.
There is wildlife to be found from bats to wild bees, swallows and hawks, and a plethora of common seasonal wildflowers merging the borders of the garden with the surrounding countryside.
A free garden tour by Lucie Nottingham, the owner, will take place at 2pm and with Jeremy Pedersen, the garden manager, at 3pm. These can be signed up to on the day and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
Ticket prices are £6 if pre-booked online and £7.50 on the door. Under 12s go free and do not require booking. Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome.
Last entry will be one hour before closing time.
Cornwall Heritage Trust Open Gardens 2023 is generously sponsored by Coodes Solicitors.
