About this event
Plant lovers, curious souls and canine companions are warmly invited to explore the gardens at Trevince as the promise of spring turns to the bloom of summer.
Trevince has been in the same family since medieval times and the gardens continue to evolve under the guardianship of the latest generation who garden for food, fun and the future to create a new horticultural legacy.
Between 27 March and 27 September, a programme of regular talks and demonstrations by horticultural experts will also be offered.
With a horticultural career spanning 14 years, Katie McBride has gained wide-ranging experience in floristry, education, displays, tropical and temperate.
She first joined the Eden Project’s horticultural apprenticeship programme before completing a FdSc in Horticulture at Duchy College.
Katie then joined the Eden Project’s outdoor garden team, where she looked after its pollination exhibit for six years. She now runs the RHS Level 2 Principles of Plant Growth and Development course there, teaching the next generation of horticulturists.
Katie is passionate about sustainable gardening practices, combating climate change and supporting biodiversity, as well as protecting and creating valuable habitats.
