About this event
Children’s Day returns for the sixth year with lots of free entertainment and activities including spectacular mountain bike stunt shows and, new for 2023, skateboarding demos and performance parkour demos on Lemon Quay.
There will be have-a-go sessions in skateboarding, performance parkour, circus skills with Swamp Circus and dance with InspirAsian Dance, Cornwall Dance School, Jason Thomas Performing Arts and Stagecoach Truro.
Walking and cycling charity Sustrans will be running a free scooter, balance and pedal bike obstacle course for children, plus an exciting static cycle activity for young people to improve their off-road skills.
Families can enjoy crazy golf and fun craft activities, plus the Royal Cornwall Museum will be on Lemon Quay giving you the chance to handle old toys from the museum and make a vintage toy.
At the Royal Cornwall Museum itself, catch the Victorian Magic Lantern Show, handle historic artefacts, and take part in craft activities.
There will be street entertainment popping up across the city, plus many shops and eateries will have family friendly in-store activities and offers.
Many activities are free although there will be a charge for some activities.
Children’s Day is brought to you by Truro BID and sponsored by Coodes Solicitors.
