About this event
Truro Food Festival returns from Wednesday 23rd to Sunday 27th September 2026, bringing five unforgettable days of food, drink and entertainment to the heart of Cornwall’s capital city.
One of Cornwall’s largest free-to-attend food festivals, the event celebrates the county’s outstanding food and drink scene, showcasing the very best local producers, chefs, restaurants, farmers, fishermen, brewers, distillers and artisan makers.
Across five days, visitors can enjoy an exciting programme of live chef demonstrations featuring some of Cornwall’s most talented chefs, alongside special guest appearances, food and drink workshops, tastings and interactive experiences. Whether you’re a passionate foodie, a keen home cook or simply love discovering great local produce, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
This year’s festival will feature a vibrant artisan market packed with independent food and drink producers, giving visitors the chance to meet the makers, sample local specialities and take home some of Cornwall’s finest products. Throughout the festival you’ll also find an incredible selection of street food traders serving everything from award-winning local favourites to exciting international flavours.
New for 2026, the festival experience has been expanded with atmospheric chef demonstration spaces, a dedicated festival bar and spectacular fire feast events, bringing people together around live-fire cooking, great food and a unique festival atmosphere. As the sun goes down, visitors can relax with a drink, enjoy live music and soak up the vibrant atmosphere in the city centre.
Families are warmly welcomed, with a range of activities and entertainment taking place throughout the week. From food lovers and aspiring chefs to visitors exploring Cornwall, Truro Food Festival offers a fantastic day out for all ages.
The celebrations extend beyond the main festival site, with a variety of fringe events taking place across Truro’s restaurants, cafés, bars and venues. From special menus and tasting evenings to unique collaborations and one-off experiences, the entire city comes alive in celebration of Cornwall’s thriving food culture.
Located in the heart of Truro and completely free to attend, Truro Food Festival is a highlight of Cornwall’s events calendar and a must-visit for anyone passionate about great food, drink and local culture.
Join us this September and experience five days of delicious food, inspiring chefs, live entertainment and the very best of Cornwall’s food and drink community.
