Christian Aid works to support sustainable development, eradicate poverty, support civil society and provide disaster relief in South America, the Caribbean, Africa and Asia.
Each year at the ‘Big Sing’, Truro Cathedral hosts a congregational Carol Service that highlights the work of the charity and offers those who attend the opportunity to support that work. Along the way, the clue is in the title, there is an early opportunity to get some good old Carol singing done, something that brings joy to many in the Christmas season.
This year those who will help in the singing include Cornwall Children’s Choir and the Pelynt Male Choir. Our local Salvation Army band will also be in attendance to provide the accompaniment for some of the carols and to perform 2 pieces of their own. Speaking of the work of the charity will be its CEO Patrick Watt. Please come along and offer your voices in the singing and your support for work that recognises the whole world as the neighbours we are called to love.
