Penzance Litfest presents: John Tagholm with two views of France.

2022 marks the 25th anniversary of a thousand-mile walk that John Tagholm made alone across France, from the English Channel to the Mediterranean, an experience he wrote about in his book Elsewhere. In his most recent novel The Value of Nothing, he tells the story of Youssef, a boy who travels across Europe to find himself in a migrant camp in Paris. His talk will explore these two very different views of France, in fact, and fiction.
